Hello, my dear readers… I am so excited to be able to invite you to my upcoming showcase at the soon-to-be-demolished Peace Centre. The showcase titled
A Walk with the Sun: A large-scale sketchbook exploration
My time in the artist studio has been an energetic experimentation of movement, drawing collaborations and painting on large-scale paper.
I will be presenting several works from my artist residency at Peace Centre. For those of you who didn’t know, I received a vacant 1500 sq feet shop lot that turned into an artist studio in December 2023. This was made possible under the initiative of PlayPan Co., who converted the soon-to-be-demolished Peace Centre into a mall for creative experimentation under their #playforgood theme.
As for me, I am really chuffed to be presenting these large-scale works during the busiest time of the Singapore art scene for Singapore Art Week 2024. Please pay the artist’s studio a visit before Peace Centre closes for good at the end of January. Yesterday, we spent some time putting up the works as a hanging installation amongst current works in the studio.
A Walk with the Sun showcase is my personal exploration and tribute to the sun's warmth as a nurturing and supportive presence when I felt unbalanced. It is amazing that just feeling the warmth of the sun’s rays on my face, could have a calming effect on my nervous system.

In addition, Jean Reiki, a Sound curator and I will offer an Art Connection & SoundBath session in conjunction with A Walk with the Sun showcase. In this unique session, you will be guided to discover the power of art and sound as they intertwine to connect with art on a deeper level. Let colour and soothing melodies transport you to a place of tranquility and inspiration.
